HawkTel Innovative Solution was founded in 2022. We are building HawkTel: live, translated consultations between newcomers to Canada and verified experts.
Arriving somewhere and being unable to explain yourself is a specific kind of humiliation. You are a qualified engineer, a nurse, a lawyer — and you are being spoken to slowly, unable to say the one precise thing that would settle the matter.
Why this
Canada admits hundreds of thousands of new permanent residents each year. Most arrive competent, qualified and entirely capable — and then spend their first year navigating credential recognition, credit history, tenancy law and tax filing in a language they are still learning.
Expertise is not the scarce thing. Settlement agencies do good work and free services exist. What is missing is the ability to sit down with the right specialist, quickly, and be understood precisely. Language is the bottleneck, not supply.
What we are betting on
Translation good enough to hold a professional conversation only became practical very recently. That is the whole product: not another directory of consultants, but a consultation that works when the two people do not share a language.
How we work
Deliberately small and deliberately narrow. We would rather do live translated consultations properly in a few categories than build a broad marketplace that does nothing especially well.
We verify every expert’s licence before they can take a booking, and show the registration number on their profile so clients can check it themselves. We would rather not offer a language than offer it badly.

This page makes no claim it cannot evidence. Here is the actual state of the product.
